I wrote a letter that I am going to give out when I am out doing errands, to neighbors and to friends. What do you all think? Here it is.
Veneta or Bust
We have entered a contest. The prize is a house or $100,000. The guys goal is to raise $300,000. He has to be able to pay off the current mortgage. Anything raised above his goal will go towards designated charities. He has a house that he wants out from under and does not want to sit on for a long time in this slow market waiting for it to sell. So he decided to create a contest. The contestant has to pay an entry fee then write a story as too why they deserve the house for everyone to read, then everyone is supposed to vote for who they think should win. The contest ends December 22, 2008. So we wrote out our story and we are giving it a shot.
Voting is being done on a web site called Digg. If you don’t have an account there, you will need to sign up for one for free. Then you click on the ‘digg it’ to vote. (Just follow the links.)
